[Well if the room temperature is anything to go by, Yamato sure wasn't lying about his location. Once he's finished with tidying and warming up the food brought home for him, he's set it aside for a moment on Yamato's bed so that he can push the window open. Except, it's already... a little open... The breeze is colder than he would like, but he stands on his toes to try and get a look around before climbing up.]

Yasusada-kun, are you up here?

[ Hands that reach out and grab at the male's black locks, fixing them up for just a moment as he sees fit before scooting back. ] Behind you. [ There he is sitting criss-cross applesauce and his hands in his lap to keep them warm. Scarf tucked nicely around his neck and his haori and hakama to keep him warm. ] We should think about putting a tree around here.

[ With a beat. ] It's be higher.

Oh! [Taking a moment to listen to Yamato, he pauses just a second longer before dropping to grab the plat and bring it up out the window with him as he crawls out onto the roof. The windchill makes him shudder, but he sits himself next to Yamato anyway, setting the plate in front of them to lean against the windowsill as he thinks up his response.]

Do you think so? I think it's nice to have free space back here. We could spar, you know?

Spar? I don't think it'd be the same without my vessel, I have this one blade Okita-kun gave me to borrow but.. [ It's always been better to him if he could use the sword that he was meant to be. Not the one that's just a replacement until he can get the original one back. ] Besides, you should be eating. There was a reason I brought that.

[ Eyeing the food on the plate as he glances up at the sky. ] Ah, you type really good on that laptop. Did you know you can do audio, I learned that awhile back. So even if I did run away, you could hear my voice more than likely.

Well, we'll be getting our own back soon. [A gentle reminder, because he's still trying to get a hold of that decorative sword, but it's something he looks forward to nonetheless. There's no reason for them to let their skills rust at that point, but he looks a little apologetic at the reminder he receives, offering up a smile.]

Sorry, it looks good! [He means it! Really! Even takes a bite to illustrate his point as Yamato carries on, glancing up to follow his companion's gaze as it trails upwards.] I take a lot longer to type my messages, but even then, it's no good if you run away, Yasusada-kun.

Hm? You're right, I should be patient and our vessels will come soon. [ Yamato has hope that he'll be able to use the one in his possession though it may be best to ask Souji if he's allowed. Pulling at his own hair, he knows that he knows a few of his own locks to do that ritual with. It seems rather easy for him but in Horikawa's place, he has to work a little harder. ] We just have to get the rest of your items and things will be good, I believe.

[ There's a small chuckle as the food is now brought to his attention, he doesn't believe it to be forced and hides a hand in his sleeve to wipe away any of the leftovers around Horikawa's mouth. ] Don't rush it.. it's fine. I'm glad you like it.

[ With his hand back down by his side. ] Sometimes it feels like I did run away, from my duties back home. It's no good at all, considering who am I actually helping if in the end these things happen. [ A beat. ] Or maybe I'm just worried for Kiyomitsu.

You didn't run away from anything, Yasusada-kun. We were taken, and it's not our fault, but we're doing our best to get back aren't we? [There's the slightest trace of doubt behind his words, remembering for how long their masters have stayed here, but hopefully that can slip past Yamato's notice. He's trying to be encouraging here, so he's gonna carry on to something that he does actually understand; while Ryslig is a mystery and a struggle, somewhere like the citadel may not be 'home' so to speak, but it's somewhere that feels more right than this place.]

Kiyomitsu-kun will be fine. He's a very capable sword himself, you know. Plus, Kane-san is there, so I'm sure...

[He trails off because... honestly, he's scared to know how Kanesada is doing without his assistant.]

That means I should keep finding a way to get back home, if we were taken. I can do my best but I don't know what I have to do to do so. [ He sighs only a bit as he listens to the other, they are doing their best aren't they? Not like Yamato is going to use his coins in order to figure out how to get home, he's holding onto these for more important reasons. ]

They have each other like we have each other so maybe they'll be alright until we return.

[ Besides, they're the two from the Shinsengumi and they have each other. Looking at the other's hand, he places his own on top of it to give the other a tight squeeze. ]

So you're right.. I shouldn't worry, thank you.

Of course! [He tries to bounce back quick, because he does have faith in them. At least, he really does want to. But he does have a feeling as though he's necessary to Kanesada, so it's hard to imagine how they're faring on their own. (Kashuu is dependable on his own, sure, but is he going to brush Kane-san's hair for him? Get him dressed? Dunk his head in a bowl of cold water when he falls asleep at the breakfast table?) Yamato is right though, with his faith more solid than Horikawa's own, so he'll take the lesson from him. Kanesada is cool and strong and capable; they're alright. In the meantime, he takes another bite of the noodles.]

Where did you get this anyway, Yasusada-kun? I haven't seen it around.

[One pasta Kou hasn't gotten.]

Huh? I.. don't know. I didn't pay attention. I think it was at the Saniwa's convenience store. [ As he turns his head to see that the other is eating what was given to him, Yamato nods his head with a smile an dis glad he likes it. ] I've already had some but I liked it better hot.. I know we all don't have the same taste in food here so I made sure to bring back the plain kind. Well..

[ It has chicken and broccoli in it so as Yamato points at the other's plate. ] Also.. If you don't eat your broccoli pieces, may I have them. It's all I want. I'm just a little hungry and I think that'll suffice.

[ Besides, the cream is really good as well. It has a unique test and he loves it, a number one pasta that Yamato would want all the time. ]

Oh, maybe I'll ask Hinata-kun about it later. I've heard that Kou-kun likes foods like this, so maybe we can get more too, that way. [He nods like that friendly plurk emote here, because it strikes him as a pretty good idea! Everybody ends up happy, plus, he feels like he doesn't talk enough with the Yamato-assigned saniwa that he's heard about, so even small things he's sure are fine to bring to the other.

As for the broccoli pieces, Horikawa glances back to Yamato with a look of curiosity, but he's not gonna disagree.] Ah, right, just a moment! [Reaching his fork into it, he takes a piece of broccoli with a lot of sauce over it, and holds it out for Yamato to bite. Say ah.....]

He's a good person from what I can tell, so maybe he can give us even more odd types of food. Though, some of the things that Kou Mukami likes are new to me as well. [ All these sorts of pastas, why is it the only thing that he eats? Not knowing why, the male shakes his head as he watches Horikawa move himself in order to pick up some of the broccoli onto his fork and what comes next brings Yamato's brow to raise. ]

Huh? No, no. [ He raises a hand to dismiss the gesture of being fed. ] You should eat up first, I'll take the pieces that you don't eat after. I'm sorry for any confusion. You should eat your fill.

Kou-kun is... something. But you're right, it could be good since he seems to have more experience with the future, and this sort of Western thing, too. [Kou, the outlier. He may be a brat but please be reliable for something here? Though, Horikawa does seem a bit discouraged by how Yamato seems to reject his attempt to offer up good will. A frown crosses his features, and he insists just a little on behalf of his actions.]

I don't mind, Yasusada-kun. It feels kind of awkward to be eating alongside somebody else who isn't, so I'm sure that it's fine to do this, right?

I think Kou Mukami is a nice child, he just needs to be disciplined a little more. Like cut off his hands and tell him no. [ Is Yamato kidding? One will never know. ] He might be willing to teach you about the future. It's all so weird to me, I don't know if I'd ever be able to learn it all. I know a few things and I know that the things on the wall makes the sun shine in our room. The lights.. it's nice.

[ There's no need for candles or anything. Though, they're talking about food and not that. ] But trying different kinds of meals do sound nice. [ With the fork still held out to him, he looks to the other as if making sure. ]

If you don't mind. [ He leans forward in order to bring the male's fork into his mouth and bite at the pieces of broccoli given to him. ] Mm〜♪

[Well of course he's not gonna do anything like object at the last moment, so he waits patiently for Yamato to get his broccoli before taking the fork back for the rest of the noodles.]

Good? [He sounds a bit hopeful, but still, his voice does drop just a bit with concern as he carries on.]

Mm, is there any reason why your first suggestion is always having to do with cutting something off, Yasusada-kun? I know that we're swords, but even so... [EVEN SO!! That does not mean that they cannot have some chill, wtf ー from the looks of Horikawa though, at least it looks like he's intending the words more as a joke than something serious as he takes another bite of the noodles.]

Because seeing people in pain makes me really happy. [ Yamato has always been weird but is he serious right now? Who knows, by the smiling expression on his features and how much he seems to be at ease. Could it be because of food that he's eaten to make him a little more happy, when it comes to the uchigatana who's just a mystery with these things. He defaults back to the male's question on the food that they're partaking in. ]

It was good, I know what it tastes like and I think it's one of my favorites. [ He leans back just a bit before looking back at the male's plate. The chicken and broccoli both look really good. ] Mine's was a bit hotter, maybe you can put some in it? Of what I had.

It's probably better, if you don't tell something like that to the others. I don't think humans feel the same way about it, or people who used to be humans. [Just... in case. He knows that Yamato is more open with his fellow swords and Shinsengumi, but at the same time, Horikawa can't really ignore that his social judgement skills are not always the Best that they could be. He wants to look out? In the end the remark isn't scolding in the least however, as Horikawa wears a slightly sheepish looking smile as he offers it up.

For now, he'll look back down to the pasta with a curious expression.]

Hot, huh? Hmm, what was it that you put on anyway, Yasusada-kun? Should I fetch it for you to put on your broccoli later?

Don't tell me you're telling me not to act like myself? [ He's only kidding, he knows what the other means and if any human was to catch something like that, they'd probably be scared of him. Yamato wouldn't do any hard unless they harmed him so as he looks at the other's face to make sure he isn't upset with what he said, he's glad that he isn't being scolded for his actions. ]

Hm? No, no! This is your food! I'll eat it the way you have it. You shouldn't let me eat all your broccoli, Horikawa Kunihiro. I thought that we had to eat our vegetables to grow big and strong?

[ Though, that's something that's always been told to Izumi. ]

I've been eating plenty today, so it's fine. Here, say "ah".

[Because he's had another few bites, including some broccoli, and now he has another piece on the end of his fork. It feels way too strange (and kind of rude) for him to eat all on his own, especially when the one to share this meal is right next to him. He won't let the simple action interrupt his thoughts though, instead considering their topic a little before replying (and ensuring that it looks like Yamato is going to eat his vegetables).

After all, at this point it isn't as if Horikawa necessarily needs what this sort of food has to offer him anyway.]

Anyway, there's a lot more to you than just that, Yasusada-kun. For example, you seem to have taken quite a liking to all the new people we've met here. I think that makes you very charismatic, don't you?

[ Say ahh? As childish as that sounds, he looks at Horikawa wondering if he's serious about such an action, of course, Yamato only opens his mouth again without the sound. It's better off that way since he won't have to embarrass himself if he ate and all the while saying "ah" he choked on his food. Besides, it's really good and he likes it the way it is. Covering his mouth once biting off the male's fork and then leaning back to chew. ]

Hmm? [ He doesn't speak because he doesn't want to be rude and he even makes sure to lick his lips before removing his hand. ] Our housemates? [ He nods as he looks at the other. ] Well I mean, Mikleo is rather kind and someone who understands us in a sense. There's other people that I've met... our Saniwa.. other people.

[ A pause. ]

Charismatic? Maybe you're speaking about yourself too!

[He gives a satisfied smile when Yamato takes the piece, returning to eating the food himself, but there's a thoughtful hum at the words to accompany it.]

He does, doesn't he? It's really interesting, we're all from different places ー though, Hinata-kun is from the future Japan, isn't he? [At least, that's what Horikawa had assumed. The charisma comment makes him laugh a little, because he doesn't really think of himself as such compared to someone like Kanesada, (though he'll certainly try to reach those heights,) but it's a bit flattering to hear it from somebody as straightforward and honest as Yamato. Still, he shakes his head in an act of modesty.]

I'm not really sure about that, Yasusada-kun. I just do my best to make sure that everybody is taken care of, but in the end, you're the one who brings them here.
