Still, he shakes his head in an act of modesty.]

I'm not really sure about that, Yasusada-kun. I just do my best to make sure that everybody is taken care of, but in the end, you're the one who brings them here.

[ As he chews, he glances at the look on the male's features as if happy that the food is to his liking and maybe that he does enjoy the conversation. I never actually thought about it, staying. [ More so, he tries not to, since everything is easily taken from him is something he can tell. These people here, are they the same ones that they would kill over and over again to ensure that they're dead and history remained unchanged? How many times must they watch the people they care for have to fall in battle and in sickness, it's weird, it's all Yamato can think about because they've always died. That's what Yamato has always seen.. a happier life with them, Okita-kun, alive? ] Have you thought about it?

[ Looking down at the plate is where Yamato decides to take it and then picking up the spoon to stab at the pieces of chicken still sitting. Taking a bite, he hums just a little confused. ]

He can't help the love that he has for his master, but he does his best to ensure that he keeps in mind what they're supposed to be doing, and nothing that would make either his master or his partner ashamed of him.]

[Something in his voice is still doubtful. After all, how could he not feel guilty to have such a thing stated so straightforwardly? Even Yamato's insistences that there's nothing to criticize do little to reassure him when it seems, blatantly, his feelings have contradicted what he knows is responsible, and what needs to be done ー even if it's only Yamato this time, perhaps Horikawa needs to be more careful of that matter in the future... He averts his eyes though, leaving that subject as it is.]

Anyway, come here. [Because he's speared another piece of broccoli, and he's holding it out expectantly in his attempt to draw Yamato back away from the edge.] Just because it's difficult doesn't mean that it isn't worth doing. I'll help you if you have trouble, okay?

[ How does he know that food is enough to bring Yamato over, the uchigatana coming back towards the male and sitting down in front of him to accept the food that's being held out to him. Taking a bite, there's a small sigh that escapes from his lips. ]

Thank you. I don't want to be troublesome while I'm here so I want to apologize in advance, if I do become just that. But you'll have to help me to a minimum, because I've heard it's quite hard for me to avoid trouble as much as Kiyomitsu has said.

[ It's a little dumb but as he finishes chewing and looking off to the side, he raises a hand to scratch at his head for just a moment. ]

[Because Yamato is a simple, pure, and therefore mostly predictable sword when he's not caught up in a fight. Even so.. [ Maybe there's just a little bit of hesitation when it comes to things like this, knowing that he can protect himself, does he really need someone to watch over him as well? Hopefully that doesn't make him needy or even helpless, he can't imagine how he'd be if that is the case. A smile begins to pull itself along Yamato's features as he speaks. ]

Then please do take care of me. [ A small bow right after before he raises himself up to climb back down through the window and when he's back on the ground, there's a yawn that leaves from his lips as he wanders off to the kitchen. ]

[He doesn't miss the tone of hesitance that goes into Yamato's words, and keeps a curious eye on the other while he waits, but just the same, his expression is clearly pleased and brightened when Yamato assents to Horikawa's hope to take care of him. It's nice, having somebody to worry about anyway. The fact that Yamato seems to find this agreeable in the first place is also something that makes Horikawa feel a small swell of pride in his chest.]

[Noted briefly before Yamato takes his leave. Now what mystery will he return with.]

[ In the kitchen, a time to himself and figuring what he's going to bring back with him. Something sweet but what? Honestly he doesn't want to eat any chocolate that's sitting around and he wants a sweet that'll bring his teeth to hurt on first bite. When it's too strong is the best or maybe he likes to hurt himself? Who knows. ]

Huh.. Let's see..

[ Checking the fridge, he grabs the handle before opening it, peering inside for something. ] Ham.. eggs.. eggs? Turkey... hm..
