[Something in his voice is still doubtful. After all, how could he not feel guilty to have such a thing stated so straightforwardly? Even Yamato's insistences that there's nothing to criticize do little to reassure him when it seems, blatantly, his feelings have contradicted what he knows is responsible, and what needs to be done ー even if it's only Yamato this time, perhaps Horikawa needs to be more careful of that matter in the future... He averts his eyes though, leaving that subject as it is.]

Anyway, come here. [Because he's speared another piece of broccoli, and he's holding it out expectantly in his attempt to draw Yamato back away from the edge.] Just because it's difficult doesn't mean that it isn't worth doing. I'll help you if you have trouble, okay?

[ How does he know that food is enough to bring Yamato over, the uchigatana coming back towards the male and sitting down in front of him to accept the food that's being held out to him. Taking a bite, there's a small sigh that escapes from his lips. ]

Thank you. I don't want to be troublesome while I'm here so I want to apologize in advance, if I do become just that. But you'll have to help me to a minimum, because I've heard it's quite hard for me to avoid trouble as much as Kiyomitsu has said.

[ It's a little dumb but as he finishes chewing and looking off to the side, he raises a hand to scratch at his head for just a moment. ]

Hm.. I have the taste for something sweet. You trust me enough for me to disappear for just a moment, don't you? [ Though with the straight face on his features, he's only teasing. ]

[Because Yamato is a simple, pure, and therefore mostly predictable sword when he's not caught up in a fight. Obviously Horikawa is pleased with this turn of events; balanced as Yamato may usually be, please don't let the young and reckless one to the edge of the roof. That's just asking for trouble.]

Of course! I have faith in you, Yasusada-kun, but even so, I'm always happy to help you if you need it. So I'd be glad if you came to me if you were having troubles. [It's nice to be depended on, after all. There's a tilt of his head and an expectant expression as he looks to Yamato though, both the sheepishness of his actions and the teasing question he poses catching Horikawa's attention in such a way.] That's fine. Even so.. [ Maybe there's just a little bit of hesitation when it comes to things like this, knowing that he can protect himself, does he really need someone to watch over him as well? Hopefully that doesn't make him needy or even helpless, he can't imagine how he'd be if that is the case. A smile begins to pull itself along Yamato's features as he speaks. ]

Then please do take care of me. [ A small bow right after before he raises himself up to climb back down through the window and when he's back on the ground, there's a yawn that leaves from his lips as he wanders off to the kitchen. ]

[He doesn't miss the tone of hesitance that goes into Yamato's words, and keeps a curious eye on the other while he waits, but just the same, his expression is clearly pleased and brightened when Yamato assents to Horikawa's hope to take care of him. It's nice, having somebody to worry about anyway. The fact that Yamato seems to find this agreeable in the first place is also something that makes Horikawa feel a small swell of pride in his chest.]

[Noted briefly before Yamato takes his leave. Now what mystery will he return with.]

[ In the kitchen, a time to himself and figuring what he's going to bring back with him. Something sweet but what? Honestly he doesn't want to eat any chocolate that's sitting around and he wants a sweet that'll bring his teeth to hurt on first bite. When it's too strong is the best or maybe he likes to hurt himself? Who knows. ]

Huh.. Let's see..

[ Checking the fridge, he grabs the handle before opening it, peering inside for something. ] Ham.. eggs.. eggs? Turkey... hm..

[ A pause. And he's decided he'll grab every package of turkey and ham to eat if there's no sweets. Even packages of sliced roast that's sitting to the side. ]

[It's a beautiful night. That's what Horikawa notices in Yamato's absence. He feels a little odd about it, but the questions that were asked of him still ring odd in his head, and he still feels a little unsure of himself in reflection of them. It's unbecoming of him, he thinks, but hard to suppress such feelings when he truly doesn't know. At the least, he's relieved that he and Yamato can talk as comfortably as they can.

When he can hear the sound of Yamato shuffling under the window again, whenever he's finished with the gathering and perhaps preparing of whatever he's chosen, Horikawa welcomes the company again to distract himself with the more immediate.]

Are you done? What did you get, Yasusada-kun?

[ Different piles of meet in the sadnwich bags that he should be saving for sandwiches but he's hungry so this will do as he now sits back down next to Horikawa and eats like an unwashed savage. Sticking his hands into the pack and pulling out a slice of meat before taking a bite of it. He seems satisfied but Yamato is weird anyway, he has no reason to be clean and watch how he eats at the moment, this is Horikawa that he's next to. ]

Do you want a piece? I think it's really good.

[ He couldn't find anything sweet, he's making up for loss. ]
