[ Though it's not unknown to him to sleep in the same area as his Shinsengumi comrades, to sleep in the same bedding isn't as well. How close they lay with one arm wrapped around another's waist doesn't make this weird at all nor the light snoozing into the crook of the other's neck; the only thing that has to be different is waking up in kisses. Which the harpy gives dutifully if not sleepily as he places one on Horikawa's forehead and then one against his cheek that slowly trails down to the corner of his lips.

A clawed hand reaches over to pull at the back of Horikawa's raven hair gently as the harpy yawns slightly, slowly moving back down to lay his against the mer's chest as if he's ready to go back to sleep. Keep in mind, Yamato is no stranger to going back to sleep.. which he begins to close his eyes but maybe Horikawa should wake up and give him more? Extra? Double it so Yamato isn't victorious? ]

[If anything, maybe it's the absolute lightness of his comrade that makes the greatest difference; the presence of Yamato, aside from his warmth and the slightly ticklish feeling across Horikawa's gills as he dozes, is almost impossible for him to notice so sleepily. Though, this doesn't stop him from holding the other tighter when brought to consciousness by such pleasant means, a drowsy smile spreading across his lips.

Though, the sun is up. Once the sun is up, Horikawa should be too ー it would be a waste to abandon precious daylight hours, as much as this doze is nice. So as his eyes open, (and squint,) into the bright room, he tries to push himself up a little, not-quite neglecting the harpy laying on top of him as he does so when he gives a return kiss to his forehead.]

Mm, it's morning, Yasukun...

[ One would be a fool to think Yamato is willing to get up to work, tend to feeding the hungry cats and doing whatever else. He hums lightly as he can feel Horikawa moving, a sign that he's ready to get up but in Yamato's case, the harpy latches to the fabric of the male's shirt to keep him close and not going anywhere. The early bird gets the worm, as they say? But this sleepy bird got the fish and that's all he needs for now.

Thes kiss sounds a small burble from Yamato's lips, his only response as he remains laying down and not letting him go anywhere. Actions speak louder than words so when the harpy wraps an arm around Horikawa's waist, he awaits for the other to admit defeat. ]

[The sound causes the smile to widen slightly, even as he pulls away one arm to rub the sleep out of his eyes, but it's not enough to dissuade him that Yamato has clung to him like this. Instead, Horikawa does his best to adjust the other's position, even if it' s a little bit more difficult to do through all of the feathers when he's not quite all awake now. He still has to try, shaking his head softly.]

I have to get up, Yasukun. If you want to sleep it's okay, but I have to make breakfast, you know.

[Mikleo needs his rest through those hours? Horikawa seems content with his work though, and places another soft kiss to the mark underneath Yamato's eye. If he still won't try, Horikawa supposes it wouldn't be too difficult to carry him to the other room, in any case.]

[ How many times must be burble to make the other succumb to him? Though that's not a thought in his mind at the moment but what he does know is that he wants for the male to stay here with him. As clung as he is, most people would stay in bed with their ... is this what they call their significant other? He burbles softly once again with the kiss on his beauty mark, closing one eye and hiding his face in the other's chest to get away from these kisses. Such nice things won't be what makes Yamato let Horikawa go. ]

I think it's fine.. you have the entire day to make breakfast. [ The entire day! ] Just another hour, I'm sure no one is up at this time so you should go back to sleep as well, you need your rest. [ And Yamato wants to make sure he stays warm ]

[It's a surprise, and a disappointment when Yamato pulls away from the affections Horikawa offers up to him, though he can't say it's not an endearing action that follows. The sigh he gives is similar to one a mother does, even as he gently runs his fingers through Yamato's hair, catching on tangles that he undoes here and there and leaving with a couple of feathers.]

Ah? Mm, I'd thought that you and Mikazuki-san were prone to waking up early. It would be rude not to make anything until lunch, Yasukun.

[Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, as much as Horikawa would love to be able to laze around with only Yamato for such a time. It doesn't mean that he can't enjoy the other's company just because he has other tasks to accomplish though.]

[ Damn! He's been found out! Well, it's true that normally harpies wake up before anyone else so he can't help but sigh once he knows there's no more excuses that can be used. Still latched to the other but forcing himself up a bit follows with a kiss against the other's chin and then at the corner of his mouth; finally there's one pressed against the male's lips. ]

Huh.. Well, it doesn't hurt to try to get more time to lay down with you, does it? [ The affection that he has scurried away from moments ago is brought back as he gives another short kiss against Horikawa's lips. ] But.. huh.. do you know what I want for breakfast.. can you guess?

[The sigh tells him that he's hit a mark with that comment, smiling into the kisses and returning the last.]

It doesn't, but maybe later, Yasukun. If there's time when everything is finished.

[He means it genuinely, and would be delighted for such to be the case, but realistically work for Horikawa is never done ー especially not when Kanesada has arrived for him to tend to as well. Speaking of which, he's a little worried that with much more of a delay, he'll get to hear quite the complaining from the bigger sword. Taking Yamato's hand to pull him up as he stands:]

Ah? Something strong, maybe?

[ As they get to their feet, the harpy gives a kind smile as he nods towards the other's words. It's going to have to be like that since he really can't make Horikawa budge when it comes to these chores he has piled up around the housing. He gives this light hum as he starts to think about if that's the correct answer or not, he shakes his head. Could it really be that he doesn't want anything strong? Well.. not that. ]

Then I'll just take a taste right now. [ With a step forward, he places a kiss against the other's lips. Another show of affection and showing that's what he's hungry for before parting. ] Hm. I think I've had my meal for today, your kisses will do me well. [ And there he goes, walking towards the door and satisfied he got the last kiss for now! ]

Are you coming?

[That the answer would be something like that, as much as Horikawa knows, (and feels similarly by now as well,) it's still a surprise when those words pass Yamato's lips, just before they're pressed against his own. Honestly, it seems like he must have really lost his status as being quick compared to Yamato since his change to a harpy, because even when Horikawa tries to pull him back for another, he's just not fast enough to catch the other to pull him back.

So it's with a look of slight defeat that he assents to following along.]

Well, you know I'll never leave you wanting for them, Yasukun.

[He just wonders if they quite deserve that sort of important status.]

[ How cute, thinking to himself at Horikawa's answer, opening the door so that they can both exit the room, he looks up at the other. ]

That sounds sweet, is that true? You know.. I wouldn't mind if held them from me? I'd do my best to get them from you.

[ Besides, you think Yamato wouldn't fight for those kisses? You're dead wrong! ]

Ah? Is that so?

[He does sound a little surprised at that answer, a raised brow as he does, this time, manage to take Yamato's hand back in his. Though it doesn't last for too long as instead he shifts to amusement, a bit of playfulness in his voice.]

Maybe I should remember that for the future then. It could come in handy, hm?

[Just how much do these kisses go for, anyway!]

[ What is this? Would he really hoard those kisses from Yamato? He's gotten way too bold but Yamato doesn't question it at all. He did admit it himself that he wouldnt mind but there will be consequences. ] Handy? I don't know how unless you have something up your sleeve. [ With the hold on his claws, he makes sure to hold back just as gently. ]

I wouldn't do it too often, just a word of advice. [ Hear him out. ]
